Black Dog Ride around Vic 2017

By Greg Murdoch

Hi, I'm taking part in the Black Dog Ride to Tasmania 2017 suicide prevention campaign.
I’m joining hundreds of fellow riders on the road to Hobart, and raising awareness of and
funds to train defence and emergency workers in Mental Health First Aid.
This is a cause that is close to my heart. 8 Australians die by suicide every day, and
defence and emergency workers have a higher risk of mental illness and suicide than
many others because of the nature of their work. By raising awareness of this issue on
my journey with Black Dog Ride, and by raising funds to train these heroes in Mental
Health First Aid, we will empower communities with knowledge around mental health,
encourage people to seek support, and help prevent the tragedy of suicide. Thanks Greg.
