Carnarvon Crew Leader, David (Chopper) Fernihough, will be representing Horizon Power in the 2018 Top End Black Dog ride in August this year. Chopper will be travelling around 3,692km from the Swan Valley, WA to Katherine, NT to the Top End to raise funds and awareness about mental health and the devastating effects it has on everyone involved. Horizon Power Logistics Officer, Rick Klix and ex-employee, Rowly Hill will be also joining Chopper on legs of the ride. Every year suicide takes the lives of over 2,500 people in Australia and is the leading cause of death in people aged between 44 and 55 years of age. The money raised from this event will go directly to the Black Dog Institute to assist the many groups and services they support.
