Neil's Black Dog Ride to Tasmania

By Neil Woodhead

I am back again taking part in another big motor bike riding adventure, this time from Perth, Western Australia over to Hobart in Tasmania, and back again, a total distance of 8452 kilometres. During this ride I will be helping to raise much needed funds for mental health services Australia wide, with the focus of the funds raised from this trip going towards raising awareness of mental illness and suicide amongst ex-service, veterans and emergency workers. They are the ones who support us in our times of need but whose own mental wellbeing is often overlooked. This ride, and previous rides that I have taken part in help to emphasise the importance of removing the stigma surrounding depression and suicide, and to "start the conversation". If you would like to help my campaign, use the "Give Now" link - as little as $10 can help save lives. Thank you for taking the time out to learn about the Black Dog Ride's campaign and at the same time, helping to save lives. My ride is on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr via #neilsbdrtotasmania17

David did not know you well but when he met you at Steve Kirchners place, he was quite impressed by you. Neil, enclosed is 200, and he admired your passion about your riding to help other people. I know he would want me to give the above money as a donation to help in your passionate nature. Good luck with your journey in the Apple Island....Love Sam for David J Tucker xx 08 08 1949 16 06 2017 Rest In Peace.
