Taff & BDR - Your change helps make the change.

By Taffy Evans

I'm taking part in the Black Dog Ride to Tasmania 2017 suicide prevention campaign. I’m joining hundreds of fellow riders on the road to Hobart, and raising awareness of and funds to train defence and emergency workers in Mental Health First Aid.
This is a cause that is close to my heart. 8 Australians die by suicide every day, and defence and emergency workers have a higher risk of mental illness and suicide than many others because of the nature of their work. By raising awareness of this issue on my journey with Black Dog Ride, and by raising funds to train these heroes in Mental Health First Aid, we will empower communities with knowledge around mental health, encourage people to seek support, and help prevent the tragedy of suicide.
I would welcome any contribution, great or small, that you could make to my fundraising page: “Taff & BDR - Your change helps make the change”

All donations are tax deductible and a receipt is emailed to you immediately.
Thank you for your support of this life saving cause.

Well done Taffy, I 've been bitten by the dog many times and its good to see there are organisations committed to not only fund raising but also to raising awareness and taking away the stigma.
